At The Independent: Since March 2001.

Previous Experience: Dunn returned to his native Grand Island after an eight-year stint at the Minneapolis Star Tribune, where he was the Assistant Managing Editor for Visuals. He previously was the Graphics Editor at the Los Angeles Times, the Visuals Editor at the Orange County (CA) Register and Director of Photo and Graphics at Florida Today/USA Today.

He also was the Assistant Managing Editor for Design at the Cedar Rapids (IA) Gazette and the Art and Copy Supervisor at the Lincoln (NE) Journal-Star, where he started his journalism career in 1973.

Education: He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Kearney with a major in art and minor in journalism. He is also a graduate of Central Catholic High School (class of 1969) in Grand Island.

Personal: Married to Barbara Dunn; three children
